Objectives of the Role
As a Cybersecurity Compliance Engineer, you will play a key role in safeguarding automotive systems and components by implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures. This role focuses on protecting vehicles from cyber threats, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality, and adhering to industry standards and legal requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, enforce security protocols, and enhance the cybersecurity posture of automotive products throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure automotive systems meet relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations such as ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155, and other industry guidelines.
- Validation: Validate security measures and ensure they comply with required standards and performance metrics.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed cybersecurity policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, IT, legal teams, and external partners to align on cybersecurity goals and compliance.
- Vendor Management: Assess and manage cybersecurity risks with suppliers and third-party vendors, ensuring they meet your organization’s cybersecurity standards.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools.
- Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434) and communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
- Hands-on experience with Automotive systems and TARA analysis.
- Vehicle-level knowledge is desired.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams across engineering, legal, and management functions.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ Master’s Degree in any related field
